It seems you've stumbled across The Eighth Continent, which is a rather unique role play. Unique, eh? What's so special about it? Well, EC happens to be a bird role play...The 'original' bird RP, in fact.
Feel free to browse around, and we hope you decide to join. Enjoy!

Posted 7/22/08 by Silve'Morde Woah. This is like the first update in a month O.o -shot-
Anywho...As you can see, EC is getting some changes. Above this here table is an eagle that looks as if he is in need of therapy....Pay no attention to the depressed eagle. That'll change soon, since it was simply a test (we'll be having an updates table with an image background <33 =D). Besides that, y'all have lots to look forward to...Many surprises! All birds will be having elementals soon, too. *hinthint*
Lastly, the rules were recently updated, so be sure to check them out.

Janitor's Closet We admit, it's rather small, but it'll do. See, if you move that broom way in the back, and press that one brick, the wall turns around. Then you walk down this dark tunnel thingeh, all the while dodging giant spiders. Then there's another wall. AHAH! GOTCHA! We sealed the brick when Shelob, our uber-special pet spider, started eating the staff, so we installed a secret ceiling panel. Anywho, you get the ladder from the corner and climb in, and there you have it - the staff hideout.

It is said that if any bird who flies farther than the eastern edge of the world, they will come upon a strange new place. It is about a fourth of the Skyplace, and it is said that at one time this island was part of the Eighth Continent but broke off long ago. It is much more tropical, and has many waterfalls, mountains, and lush tropics. Here is where legends are forged and shattered, where the inhabitants of the Skyplace compete for honor and glory. It is the Isle of Myths. Neutral territory - reserved for honor system
This area was once a small grove of trees, but almost overnight it transformed into a boggy wasteland. Countless seasons ago, a large storm hit the Eighth Continent, but the grove was hit hardest as it was in the center of the storm's eye. Many of the trees were felled by lightning and wind, but for the largest tree, which was merely charred and slightly cracked. The ground became boggy from the rain, and it has stayed that way ever since. It's a swamp, covered in green muck and riddled with fallen trees. Anybeast who needed to walk instead of fly would surely be lost in its murky depths. Home to Fireflock. | Forecast: rainy.
Located almost dead center on the Eighth Continent can be found Glasswater, the harem of Poolflock. This lake stretches in a shape that looks slightly like an hawk's talon. A small slip of land in the middle of Glasswater is where many fish-hunters make home, enjoyed the bounty of the lake. It is unpolluted and not unlike a mirror. As Glasswater reflects the sky and its various colors, it is considered sacred by Poolflock, and they believe that fish is the food intended for all birds. Home to Poolflock. | Forecast: sunny.
Just beyond the Beaks is something that could be vaguely classified as a desert, further adding to the unique topography of the Eighth Continent. It is a vast plateau, sparse of life when the sun bleaches its sands. Rain rarely wets the parched earth of Goldenground, named for the heated golden earth that sifts through claws easily and is poor support for most plants. However, it is not completely devoid of life. Snakes can be spotted writhing through the sands, as can the rare cactus, which support the inhabitants of Goldenground. Home to Sandflock. | Forecast: mild, partly cloudy.
Located in the southwestern part of the continent, this is home to Treeflock, the forest-dwellers. While the other flocks might consider this place to be too confined, the birds that live here find it just suited for them. The trees are densely situated, so that it is not often that you will see much sunlight, apart from that which filters in between the leafy green foliage of the upper layer of the woods. Moss covers the bark of the trees, so that you can only ever see a patch or two of the original grayish-brown bark. The climate is warm and temperate, and you will more often experience a cloudless day rather than an overcast one. Home to Treeflock. | Forecast: cloudy.
A canyon cut deep into the landscape neighbors the treacherous mountains known as the Beaks, in addition to the desert known as Goldenground. Redgorge belongs to the mountain birds that call this territory home. The name comes from the deep reddish coloring of the stone walls that rise above the narrow, winding river below. For the most part, the flock takes refuge in the cracks, caves and crevasses that were created long ago. There are few plants, and only the hardiest survive the harsh territory. Home to Lowflock. | Forecast: thunder storms.
Sometimes called the Western Barrier, this is a range of stone things pointing from the earth, shaped like birds' beaks. They are imposing things, and no bird dares to cross them lest they end up in Nobeast's Land, a strange place that only the foolish dare wander into. However, even if the Beaks are not crossed, they are still visited for one purpose: A mountain that is taller than one can possibly imagine. It spears the clouds like a stick would a leaf, and is shrouded in their white mist. This is Steepground, the mountain that is home to Skyground. Neutral territory. | Forecast: Hot.
Just beyond the mountain range they call the Beaks is the strangest place of all. Sand stretches out far beyond even an Eagle's eye, snaking in a thin line alongside the Beaks. It is stranger than the desert home to Sandflock: this stuff is soft and white instead of coarse. But beyond even this strange sight is a wondrous thing to behold. It is a vast stretch of water, going on farther than even the imagination. The water is salty and parching to the taste, but it's cool and fabulous in summer. No bird wishes to make their home here, except perhaps loners. This is nobeast's land. Neutral territory. | Forecast: humid.

Shelob's Lair Shelob is our pet spider. She eats people who annoy her. Once she was in the secret hallway behind the staff room, but we moved her here. Don't get too close, though - she may eat you.
